Congratulations to Mesa College Women’s Soccer team for making it to the Southern California Regional Playoffs. They will compete tonight, November 15 at 7pm at the Merrill Douglas Stadium. The Mesa community is invited to come out and show support for the Women’s Soccer team tonight on the home field.

Our lady Olympians completed the regular season with a 10-4-5 record, and will enter the playoffs as the #14 seed. They will face Southwestern College, the #19 seed, and the winner will move on to compete against #3 seed Santa Barbara City College on Saturday, November 17 at 7pm.

“The ladies are pumped to be playing their first playoff game at home,” said Head Coach of Women’s Soccer, Todd Curran. “Even better, they are excited to play Southwestern College, a team that ended up winning the conference by beating us both times this year. We feel like we were quite unfortunate not to get better results in both games. The team is looking forward to proving that they are the better team. I know their effort and excitement will be evident on the field tonight.”

The women’s team has put forth a great effort throughout the season. They have displayed their heart and passion on the field despite player injuries, and even stepped up to play out of position at times to benefit the team.
