On Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., the San Diego Mesa College Softball team will host a Softball Clinic for local girls, ages 6-16, at all levels of experience. The Clinic will be run by coaches and players and will focus on both defensive and offensive skills. Additionally, the team will host and question and answer session, and focus on the importance of team building and comradery.

In Spring 2022, Mesa College officially named Travis Nichols as full-time Head Coach for the upcoming 2022-23 Men’s Basketball season. Travis Nichols is going into his fifth season as coach at San Diego Mesa College, having previously served in a part-time capacity. The San Diego native and former Mesa star player was hired as the school’s first African American head coach. Nichols is the face of the program and it goes deeper than basketball.

San Diego, CA. —San Diego Mesa College has announced the official appointment of Lindsay Samaniego as the new Women’s Basketball Coach for the Olympians. Samaniego joins the Olympians after six seasons at the helm of the Cal Lutheran women's basketball program, where she guided the Regals to a 91-66 record while making five straight appearances in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament, two of those appearances in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament Championship game. Samaniego boasts a 62-34 record against the SCIAC in her six seasons at Cal Lutheran.
