Mesa College’s Psi Beta Chapter Earns National Recognition

Psi Beta Chapter Award Recipients
San Diego Mesa College’s Psi Beta Chapter has earned national honors from the Psi Beta National Council, bringing pride to the campus and the School of Behavioral Sciences.
 
Student Melanie Aguilar Luna received the Psi Beta Leadership Award (3rd Place), recognizing her outstanding contributions and leadership within the chapter. In addition, the chapter as a whole received the Psi Beta Chapter Excellence Award, a testa
ment to the dedication, scholarship, and service of its members.

Award Recipients

Professor Jaye Van Kirk, Psi Beta Advisor, and Aguilar Luna will soon be presented with commemorative plaques and certificates celebrating these achievements.

 

Psi Beta, the national honor society in psychology for community college students, fosters professional growth through recognition of excellence in scholarship, leadership, research, and community service. Advisors such as Professor Van Kirk dedicate countless volunteer hours to mentoring members and facilitating high-impact experiential learning opportunities that enrich students’ academic and professional development.
These awards highlight the strength of Mesa’s commitment to student success, leadership, and community engagement in the field of psychology.
