Mesa College to Provide Over $130,000 in Scholarships
By Office of Communications
On Wednesday, May 12, at 5:00 p.m., San Diego Mesa College and the Mesa College Foundation
will host their 28th Annual Virtual Scholarship Awards Ceremony, and recognize the 2021 winners. 225 awards
are being distributed to 148 students – many of whom received more than one award.
The total amount being provided is over $130,000.
”Our students have worked hard to earn these awards. We are grateful for the generosity
of our donors – consisting of faculty, staff, alumni, community partners and even
students themselves – who continue to come forward to support our scholarships,” stated
Mesa College President Pamela Luster.
The Virtual Ceremony will be hosted live, and will kick-off with welcomes from President
Dr. Pamela Luster, along with District leadership, including greetings from Chancellor
Dr. Constance Carroll, who will be retiring in June. Dr. Carroll was formerly the
President of San Diego Mesa College, and has been a long-time supporter of student
scholarships.
“This Ceremony is a grand celebration marking student success. We are excited to provide
this presentation of the Award Recipients to acknowledge our outstanding students,”
stated Dean Victoria Kerba Miller.
