October Classes Still Available at Mesa College
Students can take short-term courses that start October 18
By Office of Communications
San Diego, CA – Today, Mesa College announced that over 100 “short-term” classes starting
on October 18 still have seats available.
“Students have told us that short-term classes work well for their schedules, so Mesa
has a wide variety of 8-week classes starting on October 18,” stated Vice President
of Instruction, Isabel O’Connor.
Mesa College has over 100 classes that still have open seats, including courses in
Black and Chicano Studies, Culinary, Drama, English, Exercise Science/Health, Fashion,
GIS, History, Math, Multimedia, Philosophy, Psychology, Political Science and Web
Development. Both on-campus and on-line classes are available, and most classes fulfill
GE requirements for both the CSU and UC systems or allow students to earn a degree
in Career Education.
Students can view Fall 2021 classes and are encouraged to register and enroll as soon as possible. Courses still available offer maximum flexibility for busy students, and most courses fulfill general or specific education requirements for students looking to transfer.
Mesa College is recognized for frequently having the largest number of students who earned degrees designed to transfer
to the California State University system. Mesa also offers over 30 programs in Career
Education, formerly known as Career Technical Education. These are majors that give students all the benefits of an education at Mesa College,
but that also provide technical and occupational training that gets them ready for
a job as soon as they graduate.
Registration is open now for all students. Classes are $46 a unit for California residents.
