San Diego Mesa College to Celebrate the Topping Out of the New Center for Business
and Technology

What: On Thursday, August 31st, San Diego Mesa College will host a Topping Out for the
new Center for Business & Technology – one of Mesa’s final classroom building projects
under Propositions S and N. The 60,000 gross-square-foot, two-story building will
include classrooms and laboratories for courses in the School of Business and Technology.
When: Thursday, August 31, 2017, 11:00 a.m.
Where: San Diego Mesa College, 7250 Mesa College Dr., San Diego, CA 92111
The San Diego Mesa College Center for Business & Technology (CBT) will be a new two-story,
57,800 gross square feet facility consisting of computer laboratory classrooms, fashion
design laboratory, case-study type classrooms, faculty spaces and associated support
space. There will be a video display wall, and extensive hardscape and landscape
improvements. The building design features sustainable elements including daylighting,
natural ventilation, cool roof, drought tolerant planting and on-site bio-retention.
- The Program will begin promptly at 11:00am, with brief remarks, and end with the hoisting
and placement of the beam.
- The beam will be available for signature between 8:00am and 10:45am. All are welcome
to sign (faculty and staff).
- The Ceremony area will be on campus, in front of the Mesa Commons building (on the
North side).
- Parking with be available in Parking Lot 7 (Please see http://www.sdmesa.edu/maps/).
