San Diego – Staring this past week, 72 Fifty, the Mesa College on-campus restaurant, began offering their specialty Fall Dinners.
This week featured classic French cuisine, including Vichyssoise, crème fraiche,
Beef Wellington, and Duck Confit. As one of only a few culinary programs in the nation
that operates a classroom-driven restaurant that's open to the public, the Fall Dinners
allow Mesa students to gain first-hand experience modeling food preparation techniques,
food safety, sanitation, and menu planning while working with modern equipment in
newly renovated facilities.
Next week is the Gastronomy menu; each item will have a fun and delicious element
of molecular gastronomy. Mesa College culinary students will be serving up different
menus and delicacies each Wednesday and Thursday evening from 4:15pm-6:45pm (last seating is at 6:30pm) through October 2023.
Fall dinners are open to the public; groups and families are welcome. Reservations
are not required, but recommended for groups and during several specialty menus evenings,
as some evenings do sell out. Dinners are available for dine-in or take-out.
Days/Times: Wednesday and Thursday
4:15pm-6:45pm (last seating is at 6:30pm).
