Steps to Apply for Transfer

  1. Connect with a counselor to review all requirements. Students are encouraged to do this once a semester and at least their last year of completing requirements
  2. Join a transfer talk
  3. Join the Mesa Transfer Canvas Shell
  4. Attention: Some students can benefit from academic renewal to improve their transfer GPA before applying- please review the Academic Renewal for Transfer Workshop ( Youtube Video), PowerPoint and meet with a counselor to submit forms
  5. Set up student portals for all campuses
  6. Review and follow all transfer deadlines
  7. Read all emails from transfer schools
  8. Complete Academic Updates, and/or Supplemental applications in January-each school is different read all emails carefully
  9. Complete intent to enroll in spring as determined by college (all dates vary)
  10. Attend orientation and registration events for university/college

CSU Deadlines

UC Deadlines

  • UC TAG is September 1-30 for Fall admission.
  • Winter and Spring TAGS depend on campus.
  • General Application August 1-November 30. Students can submit applications between October 1 and November 30
  • View All UC Dates and Deadlines 
  • Submitting Transcripts  (verify with your transfer campus before sending transcripts. Avoid sending too early or passed the deadline. Follow university specific deadlines)

Private & Out-of-State

ADT/AS/AA Degee Deadlines

  • Apply to graduate for the ADT
  • ADT Verification (E-Verify and Final Verification: check with your CSU for deadlines)
