Priority Registration

Priority Registration

Every term, you will receive a registration date and time that is determined by your student status, identity, and involvement in campus support programs. Within each priority group, students are considered according to cumulative units. Explore your eligibility for early registration and learn more about our priority groups.

Group 1

Group 1 includes the following students:

  • Students who are Active Duty Military or Veterans, discharged within the past 15 years, may be eligible for up to 4 years if priority registration. A military ID card or DD214 will be required for verification
  • Current or Former Foster or Homeless Youth under 25 years of age
  • CalWorks students
  • EOPS students
  • DSPS students
  • Intercollegiate Athletes participating and registered on a team roster
  • Parent Priority - for those parents who are attending college with a FAFSA on file and have minor children under the age of 18

Group 2

Group 2 includes the following students:

  • Continuing Students who have completed orientation, assessment, and have an education plan
  • Continuing CE Advantage Students

Group 3

Group 3 includes the following students:

  • New and Returning Students who have completed orientation, assessment and have an education plan

Group 4

Group 4 includes the following students:

  • Continuing, New, and Returning Students who have not completed all three services: orientation, assessment, and have an education plan

Group 5

Group 5 includes the following students:

  • Students with 100+ units (does not include Basic Skills units). Active Military and Veterans, Current and Former Foster or Homeless Youth, Intercollegiate Athletes, CalWorks, DSPS, and EOPS students will receive first priority within this group

Group 6

Group 6 includes the following students:

  • Students with a Baccalaureate Degree. Active Military and Veterans, Current and Former Foster or Homeless Youth, Intercollegiate Athletes, CalWorks, DSPS, and EOPS students will receive first priority within this group

Group 7

Group 7 includes the following students:

  • Students who are academically disqualified or disqualified for lack of progress or who have not yet returned to good academic standing. Active Military and Veterans, Current and Former Foster or Homeless Youth, Intercollegiate Athletes, CalWorks, DSPS, and EOPS students will receive first priority within this group

Group 8

Group 8 includes the following students:

  • Students concurrently enrolled in High School
