Clear Prerequisites By Taking a Challenge Exam

Clear Prerequisites By Taking a Challenge Exam

If you have received a placement that you feel is lower than your abilities, you can take a Challenge Exam to attempt to clear the prerequisite for a higher-course. Please note that this process is not meant to be a way to skip required courses. Passing a Challenge Exam does not give you credit for the course, nor will it appear on your transcript. You should discuss the appropriate course to challenge with a counselor or by reviewing your placement and course sequence. Note, you cannot take an exam for a class that you are enrolled in or have taken and not passed. Contact the Assessment Office for information on scheduling a challenge exam. You will need to bring your picture ID on the day of your exam. Allow 10 days for your exam to be graded. You will be notified of your results via email.
