Welcome to Mesa! We're ready to help you build on the skills you gained at the College of Continuing Education. Whether you want to transfer to a four-year institution, complete a degree, or enhance the degree you already have, we will get you headed in the right direction.

1. Apply to Mesa College

If it has been more than one year since you took your last class at Mesa, City, Miramar or the College of Continuing Eduation, you may need to re-apply for admission. Luckily, the process is quick and simple through our free, online application.

2. Access your mySDCCD Portal

As a returning Mesa student, you may need to create a mySDCCD portal account if you have not created one already. Make sure you can log in so you'll be able to access registration dates, register for classes, and view important district information.

3. Apply for Financial Aid

Get help paying for college tuition and fees. Learn more about how to apply for financial aid and scholarships and see how you can finance your education at Mesa.

4. Take Your Math and English Milestones/Placement

If you graduated from a US high school within the last 10 years you will receive your placement levels which we call milestones, based on the information you provide in your application (CCCApply).

OR

If you graduated more than 10 years ago, completed the GED, or HiSet exam, you are eligible to use the Placement Assistant to identify the courses you should enroll in.

5. Meet with a Counselor

Students who have been enrolled for at least one semester at Mesa, are eligible to meet with a counselor to discuss long-term educational, career, and/or transfer planning.

6. Register for Classes

Register and pay for classes through your mySDCCD portal account.

Setting Up Your Student Email

After registering, if you haven't already set up your student email, please do so. Remember, all formal college communications will be directed to this email.

7. Prepare for Your First Day Back

Get ready to succeed at Mesa College! Purchase your class textbooks and parking permit (if applicable), and pick up your College Student ID card from the Admissions Office, on the first floor of the Student Services Center (I-400 building).

8. Find Support

Whether you need academic support or are looking for more ways to get involved on campus, Mesa has the programs and services to keep you healthy, productive, and engaged. If you haven't done so already, utilize the Your Mesa Journey tool to find support that is tailored to your specific background and needs.
