Financial Aid

Financial Aid Office

In keeping with the philosophy that no student should be denied a college education simply because of lack of funds, the Financial Aid Office of San Diego Mesa College is dedicated to assisting as many students as possible given the funding available each year.

Important Registration and FAFSA Updates

  • New registration holds are on pause due to overdue balances for Summer and Fall 2024 and will not resume until in mid-July.
  • Students will not be dropped from their Summer 2024 classes due to non-payment. However, the drop-for-non-payment process for Fall 2024 classes will resume in early August.
  • Summer and Fall Aid Awards and CCPG.  Due to the impact of the 2024-2025 FAFSA Simplification updates implementation, we are slightly delayed in processing financial aid for Summer and Fall 2024 semesters.

    • We anticipate that notifications to students of their potential Summer aid awards will begin by mid-May.

    • We anticipate that we will begin to have access to 2024-25 FAFSAs and notify students regarding Fall 2024 necessary info, required documentation and CCPG eligibility by mid-Summer.
