At Mesa College, we think a career in neurodiagnostic technology is a no-brainer.
As a prospective applicant, you are one step away from a journey that will place you
at the forefront of medicine, preparing you to operate the cutting-edge technologies
that monitor brain activity and lead to swifter diagnoses and less invasive treatments
for patients with neurological disorders. You will learn how to conduct numerous neurological
testing procedures, including Electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potential (BAEP,
VEP, SSEP) testing, Polysomnography (PSG), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), Long-Term
Monitoring (LTM) for epilepsy, Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM),
and Transcranial Doppler (TCD) studies. With the support of caring expert faculty,
you will be one step closer to demystifying our bodies’ most complex system and preparing
for your career as a neurodiagnostic technologist.
Neurodiagnostic students complete a 15-month program of professional education that
combines in depth academic study on campus with practical experience in the program’s
hospital clinical affiliates. The program is currently applying to become an ABRET
recognized program so that upon completion of the program, graduates will be eligible
to sit for the national credentialing board exam (ABRET - American Board of Registration
of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists).
