Medical Assisting Program

Medical professionals are team players - and with a certification from the Medical Assistant Training program at Mesa College, you will be one step closer to excelling in your position as a medical assistant in the healthcare field. The training program's classes will help you hone the communication skills you need to work with patients and ensure your technical competence when assisting with exams, lab tests, injections, blood pressure tests, and electrocardiograms. As a key office person, you will also learn how to perform office bookkeeping, schedule surgeries, maintain records, and complete insurance forms. Your experiential learning, guided by expert faculty in the Medical Assistant Training program, will show you the game-changing effects of your assistance first-hand, as you lighten doctors’ medical and administrative duties so they can offer care to even more patients. With the tools to support smooth operations within medical facilities, you will be on your way to your career as a medical assistant.
