Prepare for a career helping others achieve healthy lifestyles through the Health
and Wellness Coaching programs at Mesa College. In each of the two programs, you’ll
learn how to enact interventions related to the management of clients’ stress, nutrition,
physical activity, and other health-related behaviors. You will develop a client-centered
coaching approach that incorporates behavior change theories, motivational interviewing,
and coaching psychology to improve client and patient health outcomes. While many
people understand the benefits of nutritious eating, stress management, exercise,
and tobacco cessation, you will help bridge the gap for those who struggle with implementation.
Your education, skills, and training as a wellness coach will help you partner with
clients to create healthy behavior change that lasts.
