in print and online news media. Good decision-making hinges on dependable, factual
information, and through your education in Mesa College’s Journalism program, you
will develop the skills to read and write critically, while using your talents of
discernment to help others make sense of the world around them. As a dynamic storyteller
and investigator, you will learn how to cultivate your unique journalistic voice and
model ethics and integrity in your reporting. You will gain a comprehensive look into
the role technology plays in modern journalism and receive training in news writing,
reporting, and editing for online mediums. By contributing to The Mesa Press, Mesa
College’s campus newspaper (Journalism 210A), you will have the additional opportunity
to put your skills to the test and gain first-hand experience producing a newspaper.
