- Provide hands-on training and meaningful professional experiences
- Complete the MIP Employer Agreement before participation
- Offer ongoing supervision, mentorship, and skill development
- Support student career exploration
- Participate in performance evaluations and project feedback
How to Hire a MIP Intern
Follow these simple steps to become an approved MIP Employer Partner:
1. Share Your Internship Opportunity
Send your internship or workforce training description to the MIP Coordinators and post it on the SDCCD Handshake Job Board.
- Need help recruiting or screening applicants? Our team can support referrals and vetting.

2. Complete Your Usual Hiring Process
Review applications, interview candidates, and select your Mesa College intern just as you normally would.
3. Notify the MIP Team Once You Hire a Student
Email the MIP Coordinators with details about your new hire and to get started with the required program forms and onboarding steps.
