Faculty can learn about novel and fundamental molecular knowledge and methodologies to explore the molecular basis of nucleic acid damage (RNA and DNA), its role in disease, namely in neurodegeneration, and cancer onset and treatment (presentation by Dr. Alex Chaim, Assistant professor at UCSD). This will serve as professional development and an opportunity to share this knowledge with students and colleagues.
