The Spirit of African Art

Dr. Denise Rogers, art history professor and curator of San Diego Mesa College's African Art Collection, discusses the philosophical and aesthetic dimensions of African art. 

This free lecture takes place Wednesday, December 16 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM in the San Diego Central Library's Mary Hollis Clark Conference Room on the ground floor. 

"The Spirit of African Art" is in conjunction with "Guardian Spirits: Sacred Sculpture from the Continent of Africa," on display through December 17. No reservations are required.
