Kumeyaay Flag Raising Ceremony

To demonstrate our collective commitments in action, we take the historic action of raising the Kumeyaay-Diegueño Nation flag in celebration and recognition of the Native peoples of this region. Raising and displaying the flag symbolizes our commitment to our Indigenous communities and the Kumeyaay people. Displaying the flag acknowledges we occupy the lands of a sovereign nation, reaffirms our commitment to Tribal sovereignty, and embraces our responsibility to work in partnership to restore the prosperity and dignity intrinsic to all Native peoples.
