About the speaker:
Jennifer Sime teaches introductory courses in cultural anthropology, anthropology of magic, witchcraft and religion, medical anthropology, and the anthropology of gender and sexuality. She has been conducting ethnographic fieldwork in Spain since 2003. Her research interests center upon religion, pilgrimage, politics of memory, mass media (particularly visual media), social theory, and anthropology of the body.
