Stitches in Time - Modern designs inspired by our ancestors
Last Spring, the students in Fashion 175: Adobe Photoshop for Fashion were asked to create an original textile design inspired by one of the items in the World Cultures Collection. Using Photoshop, the students first devised a motif, then created a variety of pattern repeats and colorways. Finally, they applied their textile design to a garment sketch, using digital rendering techniques to show how it would look like as a fully realized 3-dimensional garment. These display boards highlight the fantastic creations that came out of this project.
Location: The exhibition will be on display in the World Cultures Glass Gallery, 1st floor of the Learning Resource Center (LRC).
