After experiencing a pandemic, the continued racial reckoning that began in 2020, compounded with returning to in person work, our collective trauma and experiences require leadership to validate, recognize, and lead staff with intention and care. This workshop helps managers and supervisors enter the workplace with a trauma informed lens by understanding the ways trauma manifests emotionally, mentally, and physically. We then share common tools to actively practice community care through our SHIFT Community Care Values, with emphasis on consent. Drawing from consent, we will empower participants to understand, practice, and implement drawing healthy boundaries rooted in trust and accountability for themselves and staff.
