My Story is My Neighbor’s Story: The 5th installation of Voices from the LEFT.

Come out and celebrate Cultural Unity Week with us on Wednesday, April 11. Due to the incredible audience turnout last semester, free tickets will be available through Eventbrite for two show times: 5:30-7pm and 7:30-9pm. See below for ticket information.

Listen as we share in lived experiences of those who have been marginalized based on the color of their skin, assumption of intelligence, origination of their name, shame of abuse, body type, physical, or mental ability. You will be uplifted by their voices and share in their stories of struggle and triumph. Students and faculty will share their heartfelt experiences about what it’s like to be a voice from the LEFT. These voices have either been LEFT behind, LEFT out, or silenced because of their group membership.

To keep in the spirit of uplifting students, we will be accepting donations on behalf of The Stand. Please bring a gently worn professional clothing item, a nonperishable food item, or an unopened hygiene product as a donation.

To ensure a seat, go to: https://voicesfromtheleft.eventbrite.com. Faculty members who will bring their class may order tickers for all of their students using Eventbrite, as well. Here are the step-by-step instructions for the Eventbrite page:
