Asleep to remember: the role of sleep in memory
Abstract: We spend about a third of our lives asleep, and science has discovered a number of crucial functions of sleep - for our brain health and our ability to turn recent events in our long-term memories. But how does our brain do it? Is there something special about sleep? In this talk, I will review the known facts and the leading hypotheses that scientists all over the world have come up with to explain one of the deepest mysteries in our bodies that we haven't cracked yet: the role of sleep in memory.
Time: 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Location: Innovation Reasearch Lab, I-112 (building I2, close to Behavioral Sciences building)
