A Rind is a Terrible Thing to Waste: the Science of Compost
Location: G-101
Flex Workshop #: 99755
Mesa Geography professor, Waverly Ray, and Mesa student, Oscar Sanchez, will show you how to assemble a squad of chemical and physical decomposers to transform your food waste into nutrients available to plants. By orchestrating natural processes through active (hot) composting and vermicomposting (with worms), you will reduce your greenhouse gas emissions and divert waste from the landfill.
