Play: 'The Last Cyclist'

Mesa Campus

7250 Mesa College Drive
San Diego, CA 92111
USA

"The Last Cyclist" was originally written by Karl Švenk in the Terezin ghetto, which later was converted into a concentration camp during the Nazi occupation in the Czech Republic. It was never performed for fear of repercussions by the German Gestapo. This new adaptation by Naomi Patz turns the play into a touching and powerful allegory mocking Nazism and shedding light on the fine line between madness and power. The character Ma'am and her band of lunatics run amok with the intent to eradicate all "cyclists" from society. Why the Cyclist? Why the Jews? Don't miss this potent and relevant comedy that questions the abuse of unfettered power fueled by prejudice and oppression?

Show runs March 10th to the 19th. Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm, Sundays at 7:00pm.
