Assessment 201 - This workshop will explore the differences between classroom assessment and outcomes assessment. The purpose of each style of assessment will be explored as well as a discussion of assessment types comes to each and use of results.
Outcomes assessment is a central element in the overall quality of teaching and learning in higher education. Assessment is an integral component of a coherent educational experience. Well designed assessment and good use of data helps establish clear expectations and provides opportunities for faculty to evaluate classroom practices. The timeline of assessment in integral to continuous improvement of teaching and learning at Mesa.
