At 2pm on Wednesday, January 18, Elisa Maldonado from UCSD will present on their Summer Training Academy for Research Success (STARS) in I4-306 in the Career/Transfer Center. All students- including undocumented and international students- and all majors are eligible to apply. The program is focused on preparing underrepresented students for transfer and beyond.

 

This is an eight-week research program at UCSD that provides a $3,000 stipend to students. Research areas include the STEM fields (medicine, pharmacy, physics, psychology, engineering, cognitive science, computer science, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, and earth sciences) along with sociology, political science, and public health.

Students do not need to be majoring in one of these fields to be accepted into the program.
