Online teaching faculty in the social sciences department will discuss strategies for student retention and success. Topics such as early engagement tips, providing student feedback, and equity-minded practices, will be discussed. Participants are encouraged to engage in dialogue to share their experiences and to learn from colleagues. By sharing effective online teaching practices, social sciences online teaching faculty will be able to strengthen our course offerings, develop new online teaching skills, create new online learning materials and therefore improve our online pedagogy.
