Come see firsthand how our local and county emergency resources work!

This free event aims to educate citizens on how local resources work during emergencies and how you can better prepare yourself for a wide variety of disasters. This program also includes hands on demonstrations for CCERT and CERT trained citizens that review perishable skills, such as light fire suppression, search and rescue, radio communications, hazardous materials, and medical aid.

The event takes place Tuesday, May 24 at Mesa College's Lot-3 parking lot. See below for schedule.

Participating agencies include: 

San Diego County Search & Rescue Team, The American Red Cross, San Diego Fire Department, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, San Diego Police Department, San Diego Police Department ABLE (Air Support Unit), and University and Campus Law Enforcement Taskforce Mobile Command.

Schedule of events:

  • 8:30 am: Attendee Registration
  • 9:15 am: Keynote Speaker
  • 9:30 am: Program and training sessions begin
  • 10:00 am: SDPD ABLE Flyby and Landing (Olympian Stadium)
  • 10:30 am: Training sessions continue
  • 1:00 pm: San Diego Community College CCERT Program Group Picture
  • 2:30 pm: Program Ends
