Speaking Up for RESPECT in the Workplace. M.E.E.T. is a comprehensive video-based training module designed to help build cultural competency throughout an organization. The module is designed to help manage diversity and create a respectful and inclusive campus or work environment.

The acronym M.E.E.T. stands for Make time to discuss, Explore and acknowledge differences, Encourage respect and Take responsibility. Participants will watch several dramatized vignettes illustrating unconscious bias or prejudice. At certain points, the video is paused for discussion and advice from participants on the action needed to demonstrate and maintain respect in that situation. The training is most appropriate for staff, faculty and administrators, but may be enjoyed by students as well.

The training will take place from 9-11 a.m. in H-117/118 and will be conducted by Dr. Charlotta Robertson, EXT. 2448, [email protected]. FLEX credit will be available.
