Check out this exciting presentation of music and poetry as poets Francisco Bustos and Michael Wickert perform with the Frontera Drum Fusion at Mesa College on Monday, March 21st.

The performance begins at 9:35 AM in Room H-117 and is open to all students and staff.

Frontera Drum Fusion (FDF) is a San Diego/Tijuana project that performs live poetry in English, Spanish, and Spanglish by Francisco J. Bustos and other featured and open mic guest poets. The poetry is accompanied by rhythms and music using acoustic percussions from various parts of the world, electric instruments and computer based electronic beats and melodies. FDF has played Aztec percussions for "Misa Azteca" by Joseph Julian Gonzalez, alongside Southwestern College Choir, including performances in Escondido, New York (Carnegie Hall), and Syros, Greece (Apollo theater/Festival of the Aegean).

Sponsored by the Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies and the Humanities Institute.
