In Her Own Words: Letters from Women in World War II
Mesa Business professor Lisa Shapiro will give a lecture on “In Her Own Words: Letters from Women in World War II,” a slideshow exhibition of letters written by San Diego women who served in World War II. These women volunteered in the Army, Navy, and with the Army Air Corps, as well as trained pilots, tested bombs, and flew planes. The show features a unique, first-person perspective from women in the war.
The lecture takes place Tuesday, March 8 in the LRC lobby from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. “In Her Own Words: Letters from Women in World War II runs in the LRC lobby throughout the month of March.
