This interactive workshop introduces online faculty to the Student Prep & Online Training (SPOT) course. This is a free, fully online, self-paced resource for students. Designed to help students build confidence and competence in online learning environments, SPOT is an essential tool for student success. We'll showcase and provide an overview of student benefits for completing SPOT, and how you can leverage SPOT to solidify enrollment during the initial crucial first weeks of your class. ​

At the of this session, you'll explore the purpose and structure of the SPOT course and its role in supporting student readiness for online learning.; incorporate SPOT into course communications and orientation modules to ensure students are aware of and motivated to complete the training; develop strategies to promote early completion of SPOT, including incentives, reminders, and integrated assignments.; and, leverage SPOT to foster active engagement during the first two weeks of class, increasing the likelihood of student retention and census enrollment.​
