(Za-Za Zoom Series) Do you teach online and/or on-ground, and want to use group assignments? Do you also want to see how to design group work leveraging Zoom?​

You might have heard or felt at some point, "I hate group assignments!" Help students build essential project management skills whether students are learning on-ground or in a learning environment. This session will cover how to design effective group assignments that encourage planning, communication, and accountability. Participants will learn how to set up group assignments, assign students strategically, manage Zoom breakout rooms, and use in-meeting tools to facilitate progress. These practices support regular and substantive interaction while guiding students through structured, goal-oriented teamwork.​ At the end of this session, participants will be able to design group assignments in Zoom that promote collaboration and help students develop project management skills such as task delegation, time management, and communication; set up and manage Zoom breakout rooms to facilitate structured group work aligned with assignment goals; and implement strategies for guiding and monitoring group activity in breakout rooms to ensure regular and substantive interaction throughout the project lifecycle.​
