This session focuses on using Zoom to foster participation and can enhance regular substantive interaction with your students through ice breakers and live quizzes, as well as leveraging features like breakout rooms (we'll cover these lightly �" please join our next workshop in our Part 3 in the series that will dive deeper into these topics), polls, reactions, screen-share, and chat to keep students involved. Participants will also learn how to enable closed captions for accessibility to support collaborative learning and presentations.​ At the end of this session, participants will be able to implement Zoom ice breakers using annotation, Focus Mode, backgrounds, and live quizzes to increase participant interaction and build community; utilize Zoom engagement tools such as Focus Mode, polls, breakout rooms, screen-share, and reactions to maintain active participation during sessions; and, enable and manage closed captions to enhance accessibility in Zoom meetings.
