Taylor Sandate

Taylor is a Biology Major at Mesa College. 

Here is what being a STEM Community Scholar means to her:


To me being a STEM community scholar is being a trailblazer and laying the foundation for the next recipients. It means we have to work a little extra harder, be a little more flexible, and have a good attitude to prove that we as Mesa College STEM majors are worth the investment. We are all leaders, speaking up when we have questions, helping each other clarify things, helping each other when we need an extra hand to pull us up from the mud. Helping each other because we want to everyone else to succeed along with us. The biggest thing I’ve learned as a STEM scholar is there is no I to the road of success. We’ve all taken a helping hand on this crazy journey of life.
