Here is what being a STEM Community Scholar means to her:
The STEM Community Scholars program has had a huge impact on my academic and career
goals. Being a STEM Scholar means immersing yourself in learning beyond classroom
walls. The 5 field trips have helped me approach my possible career paths with a new
perspective. They have boosted my confidence in pursuing graduate work, and connected
me to students with similar goals. I think one of the most important thing that I
have gained out of this program is the connections. My peers and mentors now constantly
encourage me to apply to programs I hadn’t even heard of.
