Mesa College Hosts "Spring 2022 Reorientation"
Event Designed to Ease Students Back into their Return to Campus
By Office of Communications
San Diego, CA – On March 2 and 3, 2022, San Diego Mesa College is hosting their 2022
Spring Reorientation event. Event registration filled up quickly, with over 300 students
signed up to attend the event, which is offering four sessions across two days. Students
were given the opportunity to attend a morning or afternoon session, each session
lasting approximately 2-3 hours.
The Mesa Reorientation event is intended to help ease the transition back to campus for students, after several semesters of primarily on-line instruction. The goal
of the event is not only to help students orient the campus, but to inspire them and
connect them with student support resources.
“This exciting on-campus opportunity is designed to give our new and returning students,
many of whom have never had the chance to set foot on our lovely campus, a kick start
to their academic year,” stated Victoria Miller, Dean of Student Affairs. “The feedback
from students has been overwhelmingly positive.”

The Opening session takes place in Mesa Commons. After which, students are given a
campus tour of Student Services and invited to attend various workshops. Workshop
topics include various program presentations such as Career Education, Career, Transfer, and Evaluations services, and Basic Needs services and support. Students can also get their College Student ID’s.
