Bio

I am a Mesa College alumna from Tijuana who successfully transferred in 2017 to UCSD
where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Ethnic Studies. Having Mesa College as my first
school experience outside of Mexico truly opened my eyes. I was suddenly exposed to
so many cultures I have never had the chance to interact with in the past.
I will be starting a Masters Program in Educational Leadership at SDSU this Fall 2021
in hopes to learn strategies that will successfully bring awareness to the different
experiences many students from underrepresented communities go through. With this
in mind, I joined Pathways because it is a program that allows me to be a bridge between
the students and the leaders on campus, to raise the voice of the student population,
and bring power to those in need of guidance to achieve their life and academic goals.
