Bio

Alexander Needleman

I grew up in Mexicali, Baja California in Mexico. I've come a long way from my hometown to pursue higher education in San Diego. After a long, arduous journey finishing high school in Imperial Valley, I needed a fresh start. Mesa College welcomed me with open arms and I have enjoyed every minute of my academic journey here. I am working towards getting an Associate's Degree in Computer and Information Sciences. I am hoping to also transfer to a 4-year university to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems. Technology has been a passion of mine ever since I was a kid.

I joined the Pathways Fellows team with hopes that I, along with the rest of the Fellows, could make a real difference for students like myself and give them hope that their voices are being heard by faculty and staff through us. That we're here for them. In the waning days of the COVID-19 pandemic, the one thing I would say to any of my fellow students in these trying times is to always remember; things getting better is a matter of “when”, not “if”, and however long that may take, it won’t be forever. Stay strong.
