I am currently a second-year student working towards completing my associate degree at San Diego Mesa College. I hope to attend San Diego State University (SDSU) next year working towards my Business Administration degree.
After working for County of San Diego over the past two years, I have shifted my educational focus to financial analysis and real-world business solutions. I joined the Pathways Fellows at Mesa because I want to help students, represent a community, and give back to the very people who are responsible for my success and where I am today. When I first started at Mesa, I had no idea what to do, where to go, let alone keeping myself on a path that I didn't know existed. Knowing that I will be making an impact in someone’s life at Mesa is the most rewarding to me.
California is my favorite place in the world. I am originally from Virginia and always loved taking trips down to San Diego. I always knew I’d study finance at SDSU, the best place to study finance in the country. My education at San Diego Mesa College is preparing me for a long career helping people manage their money successfully. Like Mark Twain said — "Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life."
