To send an email to a staff member, be sure to include: 

Name, ID#, and your Financial Aid Office password, DO NOT include any attachments.  Please note that our response window will be between the hours of 8:00am- 4:00pm Monday - Thursday and 8:00-1:00 on Friday.  

The Financial Aid Office maintains a password system that requires you to create a custom password if you intend to check the status of your financial aid over the telephone or by email. The system protects your confidential information and complies with Federal and State laws, as well as SDCCD procedures.

DO NOT SEND SENSITIVE DATA IN EMAIL

You need to be aware that there is a risk that someone could intercept your information if you choose this method. This can be particularly important if the data you are sending contains personal, sensitive or financial information.

Please follow the instructions below when emailing the Financial Aid Office:

  1. Email your questions to mesaaid@sdccd.edu
  2. Please include your FULL NAME, CSID, and your Financial Aid Office Password.  Please indicate if you would like to request a virtual voice or vidoe response via Zoom [see notes below] ***
    • DO NOT attach any documents that have any Social Security Numbers (SSN) on them.
    • DO NOT attach any sensitive data documents such as but NOT LIMITED to State Driver’s License or State Identification card, Passport Card, US Passport or Military Identification etc.
    • DO NOT attach picture of documents with any SSN or sensitive data.
    • DO NOT attach any State or Federal Tax documents.

To speak with a FA office staff member you can call 619-388-2817 and press 9 during the following window periods [during our regular posted weekly business hours {excluding weekends and holidays}].  

Make sure you have a Financial Aid Office password set up with us before calling in, otherwise we will ONLY provide General Information.   You can submit the Password form with Government ID here.
