Biological Agents on Campus

The Mesa College campus contains biological laboratories that use both BSL 1 and BSL 2 microbiological organisms.  The Campus also has a veterinarian tech program, that does not do research on animals, but uses live animals in the instruction of students.  While the animals are not purposefully infected with harmful organisms, there may be occasions when animals used in classroom teaching may naturally have become infected, therefore any guidelines set forth in this section should be used.
