PURPOSE OF A WORK-BASED LEARNING CHAMPION:

Broaden awareness of and celebrate the success of WBL activities.
Recognize and award faculty who have participated in and facilitated WBL activities each semester.
Highlight a student who has had an impactful WBL activity.
Recognize and thank employees from industry who have participated in WBL at San Diego Mesa College each semester.

WHAT IS A WORK-BASED LEARNING CHAMPION:

Faculty - Award

Awarded the semester's WBL Faculty Champion presented at Convocation.
The list of WBL faculty nominees displayed at Convocation and on the WBL website.
Work-Based Learning awardee's name will be engraved on a plaque each semester.

Student-Award

Employees from Industry - Recognition

Certificates signed by the President will be mailed to employees from industry who have participated in WBL events (not advisory boards).
The list of employees from industry will be recognized on the WBL website.
