Scholarship Awards:
Upon completion of SEEDS requirements students are eligible for a $500 scholarship
awarded in April of the completion year.
Fellowship Award:

Internship Opportunities:
Two SEEDS Scholars, Ti'Shaun Allen and Claudia Nieto (pictured above), were accepted
to participate in the Summer Training Academy for Research Success (STARS) at UCSD
this Summer 2017.

SEEDS Scholar, Allondra Gonzalez, has received a PAID internship with the U.S. Department
of Health and Human Services through the Diversity Summer Research Training Program
(DSRTP) for the Summer of 2017 in Bethesda, Maryland.
Congratulations Allondra!
Fellow SEEDS Scholar Cassie Casares has received an internship with the U.S Forest
Service and is to begin her work in Forestry. She is set to begin Summer 2017 in the
hills of Northern California.

Travel Awards to Conferences:
The SEEDS program has continuously supported the Hispanic Association of College and
Universities also known as HACU. Starting in 2014 the SEEDS program has made it possible
for students to be fully funded to attend HACU conferences all around the United States.
Student are able to take advantage of the opportunities and skills they learn at the
conferences. All students are encouraged to apply for various internships, including
those directly under HACU.
SEEDS Scholars attend and present at the USDA NIFA Hispanic Conference in Alburquerque,
New Mexico.
The attendees learned about leadership, graduate school, and internship opportunities
with federal agencies like the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and
the Bureau of Land Management.
