Directors' Letter

Dear San Diego Mesa College Science Student,

Whether you are a new student to Mesa College, continuing, or about to complete your studies at Mesa College and transfer to the University, there are many opportunities available for you consider through participation in the Bridges Program.

We are currently recruiting talented science undergraduates from targeted populations who plan to transfer to a four-year university and are committed to pursuing an advanced degree in the biomedical or behavioral sciences. If you are selected to participate in this program, many benefits and activities will be available to you, including faculty mentoring, summer salaries for research training in a science laboratory, funding for travel to attend professional conferences, laboratory trainee supply funds, networking opportunities and a link to other science students who share your same goals, assistance with the development of a professional portfolio, invitations to attend scientific seminars, and much more.

The program year begins July 5, 2012. Students have already been interviewed and selected, however recruitment is ongoing. Please feel free to contact us directly if you are interested in being considered for one of the scholar positions. Download a copy of the Bridges Program Application available online, complete and submit to our office for consideration as soon as possible.
