Animal Health Technology is now Veterinary Technology
Veterinary Technology, is the study of procedures for the medical care of animals, is a unique and challenging field. The Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) is an integral member of the veterinary health care team, enjoying a wide range of job responsibilities.
Graduates of the Veterinary Technology Program are eligible to take the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE). Successful completion of the exam is required before a candidate becomes a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in California.
Our Program's VTNE Pass Rates: July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2021
Total number of first time test takers: 74
Three-year VTNE pass percentage: 89.1%
Accreditation
San Diego Mesa College, Veterinary Technology Program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
San Diego Mesa College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges and is approved by the California State Department of Education.
