International Education Chair duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- coordinating Int'l Ed Week in the fall;

assisting the Humanities Institute/Committee for Diversity Action, Inclusion & Equity with Cultural Awareness Week in the spring;

holding monthly Mesa Int'l Ed meetings;
-
training and assisting Int'l Ed Office work study students and/or volunteers;
-
attending monthly District Int'l Ed meetings;
-
working/meeting with the SLO coordinator on assessing the Global Awareness outcome across disciplines;
-
managing Mesa's role in Int'l Ed Planning at the campus and district levels over the long term;
-
working with Mesa faculty to develop Faculty Study Abroad Proposals for Int'l Ed committee evaluation;
-
serving as point of contact for study abroad providers who want to create MOUs with our campus;
-
serving as Study Abroad Liaison for students who require certification in their Gilman, Boren, CLS applications;
-
coordinating grant efforts (UISFL, Fulbright Hays, FIPSE, ACE, Ford Foundation,...)
